The Shaman Room is a very large room with a king-size bed, a polished brick floor, viga beams, bookcases, and a grand fireplace. There are two sitting areas, one with a twin sofa-bed and the other has two large chairs. There is a long built-in bench beneath an expansive picture window that looks out into the lush grounds. The private bath has a Mexican tile shower. The room also has a small refrigerator and Native American decor. Originally Bynner's study, this room was built for solitude, writing, and contemplation.
"A wonderful Sante Fe experience"
5 of 5 stars - Reviewed September 7, 2012
We have just returned from a delightful 7 nights at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear Bed and Breakfast! Our Shaman room exceeded our expectations and welcomed us after full days of touring.
Chef Robert and sous-Ralph welcomed us gracefully - fed us the amazing cook-to-order breakfasts daily and helped us "cheers" the evening with wine and new found friends.
Everyone we came in contact with had stayed at the property previously and we felt at home immediately! The gardens are beautiful and the "dogs" delightful! Walking to the Sante Fe shuttle took no longer than 5 minutes and shuttled us to the Plaza - Railway station - Museum hill - and the Capital Building.....g r a t i s!
Restaurants ....so very many of them.....a short walk away!
Sante Fe and The Turquoise Bear - we loved every moment and wanted to again say thanks for the amazing hospitality!!
