If you haven’t yet experienced summer in Santa Fe, then now is the time. Summer is simply magical as the desert hills bloom with splashes of green, the skies turn brilliant shades of blue and aqua, and we’re spoiled with stunning sunrises, sunsets, and starry nights. But there’s more. Free live music! Come experience Santa Fe nightlife at the Santa Fe Bandstand this summer. This is the largest free music series in the State of New Mexico, and voted the “Best Community Event”.
Located just steps from our Inn of the Turquoise Bear at Santa Fe’s Downtown Plaza (a national, historic landmark), the Bandstand hosts live concerts each summer on select weeknights and weekends at 6pm. During these beautiful summer nights, you will enjoy a number of top New Mexico bands as well as favorite national acts that will perform a variety of genres, including:
- New Mexico Polkas
- Honky Tonk (with Cajun flavor)
- World Music from Mali
- Folk/Country/Bluegrass
- Hip Hop
- Blues
- Jazz
- Rock
- Funk
This annual summer event is hugely popular with both locals and tourists. So be sure to bring a folding chair or blanket and choose a cozy spot on the lawn, or find a park bench to perch and enjoy the show. Dancing on the Plaza is optional but encouraged!
Dining on the Plaza
All around the Plaza, you will also find plenty of places to sip, sample, and savor, whatever your palate prefers. Margaritas, craft beer, fine wine, appetizing appetizers, Southwest fare, and the list goes on. Grab a bite to eat and then head to the Bandstand to boogie the night away.
