Ansel Adams, the famous photographer, was a close friend of Bynner. A frequent guest in this villa, along with his wife, Virginia, Ansel took many photos of Bynner and his rambling adobe estate.
For those looking for a unique and beautiful place to stay in Santa Fe, NM the Ansel Adams Suite fits the bill. This two-room suite features a sitting room with wet bar, loveseat, TV and comfy reading chairs, saltillo tile floor, and a large adjacent en-suite private bath with two sink vanities and claw-foot tub/shower combination.
The bathroom is one step up from the bedroom level. The claw-foot tub requires a high step into the bath and the shower height might be short for taller guests.
The suite includes a comfortable bedroom featuring a queen bed, viga beam ceiling, TV, chairs, and saltillo tile floor. Our wood-burning fireplaces are available Oct. 15 – April 15. The room, overlooking the Old Santa Fe Trail, is located in the oldest part of the historic estate dating back to the early 1800s and is accessible from a private portal entrance adjacent to a small tree-shaded courtyard with cafe table for dining. Enjoy a wonderful Santa Fe lodging experience near downtown. Pets are NOT allowed in the Ansel Adams Suite.
